The Rosetta Stone of Public Speaking

They say there are no dumb answers, only dumb questions. Frankly, South Carolina's representative at the Miss Teen USA pageant makes some valid arguments against ... wait, what the hell is she saying? "Osama People in America?"

OK, anyone who remembers my flubbing the national anthem during history class (students were required to sing the song — individually — in front of the rest of the class; thanks for that bit of childhood trauma, Miss Harrison) knows I don't work well under the spotlight. I have a solution to that problem, though: I stay away from spotlights.

errr, What? I hope this is an example of home schooling and not our tax dollars at work in the public arena...I mean schools...but I'd bet no home schooled student would be quite so ditsy...she's sort of blonde joke in action. Poor thing.

I think this vid has gone all over the internet and she's become a bad joke, unfortunately. It's going to be a hard one to live down, but intelligence should indeed be a factor in these contests. Hard to tell from this vid if this was total stage fright or the other.
